The Civil Engineering Department at Boise State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Successful candidates will be highly collaborative and contribute significantly to teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates are being sought with expertise in environmental engineering or water resources engineering.
The Civil Engineering Department is part of a vibrant College of Engineering, which was ranked 15th in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 list of best undergraduate engineering programs among comprehensive public universities. The College is experiencing tremendous growth and enjoys a high level of support from the high-tech industry in Idaho and the intermountain west. With nearly 22,000 students, Boise State is the largest University in Idaho.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a doctorate degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, and the ability to perform high-quality research as evidenced by acquisition of external funding and peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidate is required to have a professional engineer’s license or acquire one within three years of appointment, in accordance with State of Idaho rules to teach design courses.
