The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISEN) at Texas A&M University is seeking to hire a Tenure Track Assistant Professor with expertise in Systems Engineering. The ISEN Department comprises 24 full time faculty and over 650 undergraduate and 260 graduate students with strengths in all areas of industrial and systems engineering. The Department offers an on-line Master’s degree with a Systems Engineering specialty. An individual is sought who will contribute to teaching and research in organizational, functional and relational issues embodied in the engineering of complex technological, social and service systems, with particular emphases on energy, aerospace, health care delivery and distributed manufacturing systems.

Candidates must have a PhD in industrial and systems engineering or a closely related discipline and strong skills in systems modeling and computation, systems integration and architecting, complex adaptive systems, and engineering management and organization. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a focused research program in this area, to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise masters and Ph.D. students. The ability to lead and support interdisciplinary research addressing large and complex problems is particularly desired.
