Candidates are sought with research expertise in Information Systems, Information Fusion, Operations Research, High Performance Computing, or Human Factors, applied to one or more of the following areas: Energy Systems Modeling and Analysis, Smart Grid, Healthcare Systems, Cyber Security, and Homeland Security. Candidates are expected to establish a strong, externally funded and recognized research program and to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

A successful candidate will also contribute to research related to “Information and Computing Technology,” one of the University’s eight strategic strengths (www.buffalo.edu/ub2020).

A Ph.D. in industrial engineering or closely related discipline is required.

The UB ISE department has a long history of scholarship and education in Industrial and Systems Engineering and interdisciplinary research activities. The department offers B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and combined degrees with concentrations in operations research, human factors, and production systems, and has an ABET accredited undergraduate IE program.
