Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico, part of the Ana G. Mendez University System, is looking for a full time professor in the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin August 2013. Job Description: The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop proposals and perform externally funded research, demonstrate and maintain a high quality publication record, collaborate in the development of the Master programs in Engineering Management and Logistics Engineering Management, and mentor students in industrial and management engineering. Requirements: PhD in Industrial Engineering or closely related discipline. Strong background in supply chain management or logistics engineering. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and actively participate in the program assessment and continuous improvement to maintain the ABET accreditation. Successful applicant will teach graduate and undergraduate courses (particularly: Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Planning, Simulation, Work Measurement, among others) in the Industrial and Management Engineering Department, participate in research projects, and provide service to the university. Minimum two years of teaching experience. Experience teaching online courses is highly desirable. Industry experience or professional certifications are a plus. Excellent communication skills; knowledge of Spanish is desirable. Salary: $65,400 per year for the Assistant Professor position. The university offers a competitive fringe benefits package.
