The Department of Industrial Engineering at Mercer
University invites applications for a tenure-track 9 month faculty position at
the assistant or associate professor level in the area of industrial
engineering, starting August 2014. Priority will be given to individuals
capable of teaching undergraduate and graduate industrial engineering courses.
Candidates with expertise and scholarly interests in the integration of
research with service in areas related to operations research and/or
manufacturing are of particular interest.
Mercer's undergraduate engineering program is ABET/EAC
accredited. The School of Engineering offers both Bachelor and Master of
Science in Engineering degrees with specializations in biomedical, computer,
electrical, environmental, industrial, and mechanical as well as engineering
related programs in technical communications and industrial management. The
undergraduate curriculum is dynamic, innovative, broadly based, and includes
the option of an integrated BSE/MSE degree program for qualified candidates.

GA. The metropolitan Macon area, located 90 miles south of Atlanta, has a

Minimum qualifications include an earned Ph.D. from an
accredited college/university in industrial engineering or a closely related
field. Those with industry experience and/or professional registration are
encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator
with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship
focused on support of the institution's educational mission.
