The Industrial
and Manufacturing Engineering Department at North Dakota State University
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
Candidates with strength in optimization, supply chain, quality or reliability
are especially encouraged to apply, although all areas of industrial
engineering will be considered. Review of applications will begin in January
2014. Successful candidate is expected to establish a program of
externally-funded research in industrial engineering and produce an excellent
record of scholarly publications; teach undergraduate and graduate courses;
supervise MS and PhD students; and provide service to the university, to the
state, and to the appropriate professional organizations.
Candidates
are required to submit an application with curriculum vitae, statement of
teaching and research interests and list of names and contact information of at
least three references.

Minimum
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in industrial engineering or closely
related discipline
- At least one degree in industrial engineering
- Credentials to teach a variety of courses in
industrial engineering, both undergraduate and graduate level
- Strong interest and potential to develop a sponsored
research program
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Interest and ability to interact and collaborate
effectively with a diversity of colleagues and students
