The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seattle University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Systems Engineering beginning in September 2016.

The ideal applicant will have a deep understanding of the systems engineering discipline. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery and administering of the new Master of Science in Systems Engineering program. Responsibilities will include oversight of this new professional master’s program; teaching systems engineering at the graduate level and electrical and computer engineering at the undergraduate level; maintaining an ongoing research program; providing service to the university, and fostering close ties with local industry. Candidates with expertise in offering courses with on-line components as well as interest in innovative teaching pedagogies are encouraged to apply.

Requirements: Ph.D. in systems engineering, electrical or computer engineering, or closely related field.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is housed within the College of Science and Engineering. The undergraduate electrical engineering program is ABET-accredited and supports the University’s mission of educating the whole person, professional formation, and empowering leaders for a just and humane world.
