NOTES:
Arizona State University is seeking a Professor of Practice in Engineering Management to help administer and teach courses in a new B.S.E. degree program in Engineering Management. The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience and some prior university teaching experience. The position description is appended below. Professor of Practice in Engineering Management
We are seeking outstanding candidates for a Professor of Practice position in Engineering Management starting August 2011. Individuals will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses related to engineering management and perform administrative duties including assisting in student recruitment and mentoring, and program assessment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned Master’s degree in Engineering Management or closely related field with expertise in one or more core technologies relevant to Engineering Management including but not limited to risk management, project management, systems engineering, product management, engineering administration, or engineering economics; at least five years of relevant industry experience with a record of increasing responsibility; excellent teaching and student mentorship ability; and strong communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• An ABET accredited degree in engineering or computer science;
• Educational experience in a U.S. academic institution with demonstrated teaching excellence;
• A Ph.D. in engineering or management;
• Ability to work with local industry to define and manage student capstone projects.
