NOTES:
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto currently invites applications for two tenure-stream appointments at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. An area of strategic interest to the Department is Mechatronics; however, applications within the general area of Mechanical Engineering are welcome. The successful candidate will show leadership and innovation in research and teaching.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in engineering (or related discipline), an outstanding academic and research record including refereed publications and effective teaching ability. Applicants should also have an undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related discipline), and be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer.

Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and departmental service. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. The start date is approximately July 1, 2012.
