The McCormick School of
Engineering and Applied Science plans to hire up to four clinical faculty

starting in September 2013 or earlier. Advisers will play a central role in
helping McCormick freshmen select their majors and design their academic study

the student’s major department and a career adviser, who will join the team as
the student progresses towards his/her degree. In addition to the main advising
duties, the advisers will be expected to teach a total of three courses,
typically two courses in Design Thinking and Communications (DTC) for freshmen
and a service course in an engineering department.

engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of academic or industry experience. A
desire to work with undergraduate students is a must. Research interest in
engineering education will be a plus.
Terms of Appointment: The appointment will be a 12-month full-time non-tenure
track for a term of five years, subject to annual performance reviews, and will
be renewable at the end of the term. The rank and salary will be commensurate
with qualifications and experience.
