Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering Search #EN-0020-14 The Department of Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering (MBE) at Boise State University invites applications for three open-rank tenure/tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and a desire to make significant contributions in research by collaborating with faculty and industry to develop and sustain funded research programs. Senior applicants should have an established track record of research, teaching, and external funding. The successful candidate will be expected to make balanced contributions in teaching, research, and service. An earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required at the time of appointment and a PE license or the ability to acquire one is preferred. All outstanding candidates will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants working in the areas of: • biomechanics / bioinstrumentation / biomaterials • advanced manufacturing • energy systems • controls The MBE Department is part of a vibrant College of Engineering. The College is experiencing tremendous growth and receives a high level of support from the high tech industry in Idaho and the intermountain west. With nearly 22,000 students, Boise State is the largest university in Idaho.
