This is a revised advertisement to satisfy the new requirements set out by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) on June 20, 2014.

The Department of Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a tenure-track professorial appointment in Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Theory, or Technology Management, at any level to start in 2015. Based on qualifications and rank hired at, salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 will be considered. Exceptionally qualified candidates, negotiation beyond the salary range noted will be taken into account.  Applicants should hold a PhD, or be near completion of their doctorate, and have a background in management, psychology, sociology, industrial/systems engineering, or other relevant field.  We seek individuals who have demonstrated research and teaching potential in areas such as organizational behaviour, organizational theory, technology/innovation management, or social aspects of technology. Ability to conduct rigorous research is essential and interest in practical problems arising from the workplace is highly desirable.

Management Sciences is a dynamic and growing interdisciplinary department in the Faculty of Engineering that has active research and teaching in Management of Technology, Information Systems and Operations Research. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in Management Engineering, as well as Master’s and PhD programs in Management Sciences.

Letters of recommendation are not required at the application stage but will be requested if a candidate is shortlisted.
