Mellichamp Chair in Systems Biology
The University of California Santa Barbara seeks to hire a highly creative and productive individual to fill a Mellichamp Chair in Systems Biology. This is a tenured position. The academic appointment will be primarily in Chemical Engineering with a potential joint appointment in the Department of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology, depending on the applicant’s background and research interests. We seek outstanding individuals with clear evidence of important intellectual contributions in the general area of systems biology, including but not limited to quantitative modeling of biological phenomena, large-scale genomics and informatics, tissue engineering and stem cell biotechnology, biomaterials, drug delivery or metabolic engineering. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
