Qualifications: Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field, with specialization in flight vehicle dynamics and controls, or structures and materials, is required. Interest and experience with multidisciplinary and emerging technology applications is desirable. Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; providing leadership for curriculum and laboratory development; supervision of senior and graduate design projects; scholarly activities; advising of graduate and undergraduate students; and community and professional service. Faculty are expected to collaborate in instruction, student and industry projects, advising and research within the Department, the College and the University. The successful candidate must demonstrate potential for teaching and scholarly excellence, and will be expected to participate in and develop multidisciplinary activities with college faculty and industry partners. The candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date: August 22, 2012
