Assistant Professor — Tenure-track
Electronics and Photonics
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara is seeking applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position with a start date of Fall Quarter, 2012.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials, or Physics and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop a highly successful independent research program, and participate effectively in the teaching of Electrical Engineering curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Exceptional candidates with research areas in integrated electronics and photonics will be given serious consideration. Prospective candidates who wish to pursue interdisciplinary research efforts are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have a Ph.D., demonstrate the ability to develop a highly successful independent research program, and participate effectively in the teaching of the ECE curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
We will consider candidates with backgrounds and interests in any area of electrical and computer engineering, including emerging and interdisciplinary areas which have strong overlap with ECE.
