The Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position starting September 1, 2012. The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
We seek candidates with a strong foundation in operations research, applied probability and statistics and demonstrated interests in application areas including, but not limited to, engineering and program management, sustainable manufacturing and supply chains, energy systems, and healthcare delivery. Applicants should have a strong academic record, excellent potential for creative research, and a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education in industrial and systems engineering.
The IMSE Department, currently at 13 tenure-track faculty, offers several BS and MS degrees, and participates in interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in information systems engineering and automotive systems engineering. Qualified applicants are invited to submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of current and future research interests, a statement of teaching philosophy, and list of three references to:
