The Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to bridge empirical and theoretical aspects of Ecosystem Ecology. The successful candidate will use modeling, experimental, and conceptual approaches applied to regional, landscape or global scales, be active in our graduate and undergraduate programs and enhance the quantitative and theoretical training of students. Of particular interest are candidates whose research is integrative across areas of ecology, across other disciplines and builds on the strengths of our program. Collaboration with ongoing interdisciplinary research associated with the Coweeta LTER, HorseShoe Bend Experimental site, UGA Costa Rican campus, Georgia Coastal Ecosystems LTER, Savannah River Ecological Laboratory, Skidaway Institute of Oceanography and the Joseph W. Jones Ecological Research Center is encouraged. All successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Ecology or a related field and strong records of publication, interdisciplinary research and teaching excellence. Those applying at the Associate Professor level should exhibit advanced records in all three of these areas.
