Our programs include the first-year engineering program, an innovative undergraduate program in multidisciplinary engineering and interdisciplinary engineering studies and a PhD program in engineering education. The research interests of our faculty are very diverse and span aspects of engineering education from pre-kindergarten through college and practice. We have an Institute for P-12 Engineering Research and Learning (INSPIRE) and are planning a research center focused on industry. A summary of the research areas can be found at https://engineering.purdue.edu/ENE/Research/ Applicants should hold an earned doctorate in engineering or education or related discipline and at least one degree in engineering with expertise in engineering education research. They must be qualified for tenure as a full professor in engineering at Purdue. We seek an individual with a distinguished academic record of achievement who can provide leadership in discovery, learning and engagement based on a clearly articulated vision of the current needs and future directions of engineering education. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, a commitment to diversity and be expected to act in a leadership capacity, assisting the Head in mentoring faculty and the further development of ENE, in refining its strategic direction, and in programmatic support in executing the strategic plan. The successful candidate will be expected to excel at teaching in ENE’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
