The Physics Department at the University of Dayton is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level to begin August 16, 2013. A Ph.D. in physics or optical sciences with a physics emphasis is required. 

Applicants must be experimentalists in the area of electro-optics, committed to quality teaching to science and non-science majors, and capable of establishing their own research program. Duties include teaching all levels of undergraduate physics, teaching graduate electro-optics courses, and contributing to department electro-optics research activities. Demonstrated experience or interest in teaching students from diverse backgrounds, and an appreciation of Catholic Marianist values are preferred.
