Position Title:Assistant Professor, Tenure track
Faculty or Department: Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
The position are required to have a background in
systems engineering, a BS in Industrial, Production, or Systems
Engineering, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering or other related
field
to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in and establish a
research focus in production systems, service systems, healthcare
systems, or energy systems.
In addition,
candidates for this position must have a strong record of scholarly
achievement, familiarity with writing proposals for competitive funding,
and effective oral and written
communication skills. The successful candidates will be expected to
teach undergraduate and graduate courses, secure and conduct externally
funded research, publish scholarly work, advice undergraduate and
graduate (including Ph.D. level) students, and collaborate
with researchers in local industries to develop industry-based research.
A commitment to
diversity and the ability to work with a diverse population are
required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in
teaching, writing competitive research
proposals and strong scholarly activity and professional experience.
