Applications are sought to fill two tenure-track positions at the assistant/associate professor level starting August 15, 2013.

Position 1: The focus area for this position is Human Factors / Health Systems, but candidates with interests in Quality Engineering and Applied Statistics are encouraged to apply.

Position 2: The focus area for this position is Applied Operations Research with applications in Logistics, Supply Chains and Manufacturing Systems.

Applicants should have an earned doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline, strong communication skills, and have the potential for developing an externally funded research program.  The applicant should be capable of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and have a publication record in nationally recognized journals.

The ABET accredited department offers the BS, MS and PhD degrees, and is home to both National Science Foundation and Department of Energy centers.  The department faculty conducts interdisciplinary research across the campus and with extension in healthcare systems, logistics/transportation, and energy systems.  The University of Missouri is a public, land grant, AAU Research I University with over 34,000 students and is one of only six public universities in the country with medicine, veterinary medicine, law, business, and engineering all on one campus. The College of Engineering was the first to be established west of the Mississippi.
