The Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at the State University of New York at Binghamton seeks applications for the following tenure-track positions in the fall of 2013:

Chair/Full Professor – Department of Bioengineering
Applicants for the position of Chair must have a PhD degree in bioengineering or biomedical engineering or closely related field and qualified to be tenured at the Full Professor level.
Assistant Professor of Computer Science- 2 positions
Specialization in embedded systems, energy-aware computing and security; must have a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline by the appointment date.
Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering- 2 positions
One position with specialization in cyber security, with highest priority for applicants in network security, information hiding, cryptography and/or hardware-based security and one position with specialization in power/energy systems, with an emphasis on hybrid drives, thin film solar cells, and/or smart grid (including security aspects); must have PhD in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field.
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Area of mechanical systems design including mechatronics; will be expected to teach in one or more of the following areas: mechanical design, computer-aided design (CAE), finite element analysis (FEA), or mechatronics; must have a PhD in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
Assistant Professor of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering- 2 positions: Healthcare Systems Engineering/Human Factors and Smart Grids and/or Operations Research
One position with specialization in Healthcare Systems Engineering/Human Factors or and one position with specialization in Smart Grids/Operations Research; must have PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
Assoc/Full Professor of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering: Electronics Packaging/Manufacturing
Position at the senior level (Associate or Full Professor) with focus on electronics packaging and/or electronics manufacturing; must have PhD in engineering or the sciences.
