Civil Engineering Faculty Position Announcement
The School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University, has
identified Active Remote Sensing as a significant thrust for cross-disciplinary
research and education, and seeks an outstanding individual for a new tenure
track faculty position. The position will be at the Assistant Professor
level. Candidates must hold an earned Ph.D. degree in Engineering,
Science, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have a
distinguished academic record, will develop independent research programs, and
will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses. Outstanding
candidates with a proven record for developing research and teaching in areas
which include, but are not limited to, active and passive microwave remote
sensing, synthetic aperture RADAR, estimation and geopositioning aspects of
remote sensing, SAR interferometry, LIDAR sensing and processing,
or related instrument development will be considered. The candidate will
be affiliated with the Geomatics Area and must develop and teach courses which relate
active remote sensing to broader civil engineering applications. The candidate
must develop cross disciplinary research collaborations among relevant
engineering, science, and other departments within the university.
