The
Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University seeks
applicants
for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship to begin in the
2013-2014
academic year. We seek an outstanding scientist working on either
the
relationship of structure to function (Physiological Ecology), the
relationship
of genes to structure and/or function (Ecological Genetics), or
the
integration of both fields within a broad ecological and evolutionary
context.
Candidates using experimental, comparative, and/or genome-wide
approaches
to major questions in any biological system are encouraged to
apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to supervise an
independent
research program that will attract extramural funding, to
provide
research training for graduate and undergraduate students, and to
teach
in their area of specialty at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Texas

The Department of Biological Sciences has historical strengths

organismal biology, ecology, evolution, behavior, and systematics. The
successful

Biological
Sciences is required and post-doctoral experience is encouraged.
