The Department of Instructional & Performance Technology (IPT) at Boise State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level to work on campus to develop and teach online graduate courses, with a focus on workplace instructional design and e-learning development. Candidates with an interest and demonstrated track record in conducting research are highly desired.

At minimum you should have:
• Earned doctorate in e-learning, instructional design, training and development, or related field
• Knowledge of e-learning development based on principles of instructional design, including experience with e-learning development tools such as Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, and Camtasia

The preferred candidate will have experience in:
• Post-secondary online education, including supervision of student projects
• Designing and developing synchronous, asynchronous, and blended learning interventions in business, military, government, and/or non-profit settings
• Conducting grant-funded research resulting in publications
• M-learning, EPSS, and human performance technology

The innovative and collegial IPT department is part of a vibrant College of Engineering, recently ranked 13th in the 2013 U.S. News & World Report’s list of best undergraduate engineering programs among comprehensive universities. The IPT department serves a diverse student body with approximately 175 students around the world completing online coursework in any given semester. With over 20,000 students, Boise State is the largest university in Idaho.
