Position:
Towson University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in the Department of Biological Sciences starting fall 2013, pending approval of funding. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in microbiology and genetics, and the possibility of an upper-level elective and/or graduate-level course in the candidate’s area of specialization.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant is expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, to develop a productive research program involving both graduate and undergraduate students, and to pursue external funding to support his/her research program. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in molecular or genomic analysis of microbial populations. Ph.D. is required, postdoctoral experience preferred.
