Position Title: Tenure Track Assistant Professor

Job Summary
The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level with expertise in transportation engineering with a focus on autonomous vehicles. This could include planning or design for autonomous vehicles, operational aspects of autonomous vehicles, the impact of autonomous vehicles, to name a few. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s many initiatives in this area and the Dwight Look College of Engineering’s Center for Autonomous Vehicles and Sensor Systems (CANVASS) Center. The successful applicant will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise and mentor graduate students, develop an independent externally funded research program, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Required Education and Experience
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in civil engineering or a closely related field.
