The Department of Chemical &
Biomedical Engineering invites applications and nominations for Assistant,
Associate or Full Professor tenure-track faculty positions (open rank search)
in the areas of biomedical engineering and sustainable energy starting August
2015. Research areas synergistic to our current faculty interests are
preferred, which include neuroscience and engineering, photonics, biosensors,
solar energy and energy conversion catalysis. The new faculty members
must have an earned Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a
related field. Applications from women and minority candidates are
strongly encouraged.
The University of South Florida is
a high-impact, global research university located in beautiful Tampa Bay on
Florida's spectacular west coast. It is one of the largest public

The Department has 16 faculty
members and offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering and
M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering. ChBME faculty members
have strong collaborations with all departments in the College of Engineering,
and Colleges of Medicine, Arts & Sciences, Behavioral and Community
Sciences and Education. ChBME faculty members have strong ties with
several centers and institutes at USF, which include leadership roles in the
Global Center for Hearing and Speech Research, Clean Energy Research Center, Florida
Energy Systems Consortium and Functional Materials Research Institute.
ChBME faculty work collaboratively with members of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer
Center and Research Institute, Center for Assistive Rehabilitation Robotics
& Technologies, Center for Wireless and Microwave Information
Systems, and USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute. Detailed information

The new faculty members are
expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized program of
externally funded research and demonstrate scholarship and a strong commitment
to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. Applicants must
