the Dwight Look College of Engineering is one of the largest engineering

Department of Civil Engineering is proud to be among the top civil engineering
programs in the country, ranked 8th in undergraduate programs and 9th in
graduate programs at public institutions. Texas A&M civil engineering
graduates are highly recruited and widely regarded as among the most work-ready
young engineers in the country. The department currently has 55 tenured and
tenure-track faculty and seven academic professional track faculty members. Our
student population is comprised of 850 undergraduate students (sophomore to

Job Summary
The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant
professor level with expertise in geotechnical engineering. The successful
applicant will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise and
mentor graduate students, develop an independent externally funded research
program, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve
the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in civil engineering or a closely
related field.
