POSITION: Assistant Professor (tenure-track), 2 positions
NOTES:
The Department
of Civil Engineering at Boise State University plans to hire two tenure track
faculty by fall 2013 at the Assistant Professor level to help grow its
undergraduate and graduate programs. Highly qualified candidates may be
considered for an appointment at a higher rank. Successful candidates will be
expected to be highly collaborative, contribute significantly to both graduate
and undergraduate research, and make contributions to teaching, research, and
service. Candidates with a proven track record of interdisciplinary research
are highly desired.
Candidates are being sought with expertise in the following
areas:

Geotechnical
·
Structural
·
Sustainable Materials for Transportation
Infrastructure
Qualifications:
·
PhD in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
·
BS in Civil Engineering
·
Demonstrated excellence in research and education
The College of Engineering was
ranked 13th in the 2013
U.S. News & World Report’s list of best undergraduate engineering
programs among comprehensive public universities. The College is experiencing tremendous growth
and receives a high level of support from the high-tech industry in Idaho and
the intermountain west. The Civil
Engineering program is ABET-accredited and offers B.S., M.S., and M.Engr. degrees.
The department is exploring doctoral program development.
