Job Description:

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications at all ranks for a full-time faculty position in biomedical engineering beginning in the fall of 2014.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related engineering field by the beginning date of appointment. A Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited institution is preferred. Excellent communication skills are required. Industrial experience is preferred. Candidates must be qualified to instruct undergraduate integrated lecture/laboratory courses in biomedical instrumentation, systems, controls and medical device design.

Applicants must be versatile and have interest in teaching a variety of undergraduate engineering courses and engaging in a range of professional activities. The applicant will be expected to remain up to date in new developments in related technical and pedagogic fields and to integrate these into her or his teaching. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. MSOE enjoys close working relationships with regional companies and faculty interaction with these companies is especially encouraged.
