NOTES:
The College of Engineering at Purdue University invites
applications from outstanding faculty candidates to join the Division of
Construction Engineering and Management. We seek candidates with expertise in,
but not limited to, one or more of the following areas of interest: Building
Information Modeling, process modeling, simulation and visualization sensor
networks, sustainable systems, Smart Grids, intelligent infrastructure,
contract administration, decision making in complex systems, knowledge management,
energy optimization, safety, System of Systems.
Successful candidates must hold an earned Ph.D. or
equivalent doctoral level degree(s) in an engineering discipline and should
have a distinguished academic record, demonstrated ability to develop a strong
externally-funded research program, and
a commitment to outstanding scholarship and education. The successful candidate will teach
undergraduate courses in Construction Engineering and Management and develop
graduate courses in the candidate's specialty area(s).
Candidates at the Associate/Full Professor level are
targeted, but exceptional candidates at the Assistant Professor rank will
receive serious consideration. The faculty appointment will be at a
professorial rank commensurate with the candidate's credentials and the tenure
home will be in the School within the College of Engineering that best matches
the candidate's experience and interests.

In addition to the cover letter (stating the principal areas of expertise),
applications must include the following: (1) a curriculum vitae with at least
three professional references with address, email and phone numbers, (2) a
statement on teaching (not exceeding two pages), 3) a statement on research
interests and expertise in methodological approaches (not exceeding two pages),
and (4) copies of two relevant papers. The statements on teaching and research
should illustrate relevance for construction engineering and management.
Review of applications will begin on !January 10, 2014 and will continue until the position
is filled. A background check will be required for employment in this position.
