Four
faculty positions open in the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics
Department at Michigan Technological University.
COMPUTATIONAL
FLUID DYNAMICS FACULTY POSITION
Michigan
Technological University, Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering
Mechanics “ME-EM” invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to begin in Fall 2015. We seek candidates
with research, teaching and professional interests in fundamental and applied
computational fluid and flame dynamics across a range of scales with
applications in internal combustion engines, power generation, and energy
systems or innovative laboratory applications.
Applicants
are required to have an earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related
field. The position is offered at the assistant professor level, however
other levels may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Successful
candidates will be expected to develop externally funded research programs in
their areas of interest while fostering collaboration with other faculty,
engage in both undergraduate and graduate teaching, and contribute to
professional service. Candidates whose expertise facilitates interaction across
energy and power generation areas are especially encouraged to apply.
