The Department of Systems and Engineering Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (http://www.afit.edu/en/env/index.cfm) invites applications from outstanding candidates for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Systems Engineering program with a start date of 1 Jun 2013 or earlier.

Position Description
AFIT’s Systems Engineering Program is an ABET-accredited graduate program with an emphasis on research. Students are typically DoD officers who attend AFIT with full fellowships. Research is funded from both DoD and non-DoD agencies. AFIT is a member of the NSF ADVANCE LEADER Consortium (www.wright.edu/leader/), and candidates are expected to share AFIT’s commitment to this and other campus diversity initiatives. Members of historically under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicant Qualifications
Applicants for the position must have a Ph.D. in systems engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline. Applicants should have a distinguished record in teaching graduate classes in systems engineering topics. Experience teaching using mixed mode platforms (synchronous and asynchronous online course delivery methods) is desired. This position is a one-year renewable contract.
