Position Description: | The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME)
Department invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor
(Tenure-Track). This position will be 40 percent teaching, 40 percent
research, and 20 percent service. Responsibilities will include
supporting NDSU’s land grant mission of teaching, research, and service.
Specifically, the successful candidate will be expected to establish a
program of externally-funded research in industrial engineering and
produce an excellent record of scholarly publications, teach
undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervise MS and PhD theses; and
provide service to the university and its units, to the state and
regional community, and to the appropriate professional organizations.
Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication
skills in English and ability to interact and collaborate effectively
with a diversity of colleagues and students. All areas of industrial
engineering will be considered. All applicants must apply on-line. Minimum Qualifications: | New faculty member will - Hold a PhD or expected to complete their degree before August 15, 2013 in industrial engineering or closely related discipline - Have at least one degree in industrial engineering - Effective oral and written communication skills - Have strong interest and potential to develop and conduct a sponsored research program - Have credentials to teach a variety of courses in industrial engineering, both undergraduate and graduate level - Have interest and ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a diversity of colleagues and students |
