The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of
Rochester (http://www.ece.rochester.edu) invites applications for two tenuretrack
faculty positions.

Candidates from all areas of electrical and computer engineering are encouraged to
apply and will receive full consideration. We are particularly interested in
candidates that: a) can impact the broad areas of signal and image processing,
control, and information theory, b) conducting novel research in the analysis of
complex data, distributed systems and networks, or c) have research interests in
audio and music signal processing that can support teaching in our new
undergraduate major in Audio and Music Engineering.

We anticipate making both appointments at the Assistant Professor level but
appointments at any rank will be considered. The University of Rochester offers competitive salaries and excellent startup packages. The U of R, a private research university with superb laboratory facilities and multiple interdisciplinary research
centers is at the heart of the high tech Finger Lakes Region of New York providing

Department has a collegial atmosphere, wellfunded research programs, and
excellent students from the undergraduate through doctoral level.
