Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Industrial Engineering and
Coordinator of Industrial Engineering Program
Francis Marion University invites applications
for a tenure track Industrial Engineering faculty position at the Assistant, Associate
or Full Professor level. Rank will depend on qualifications and experience. The
University has developed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree
program that will commence in Spring 2014. The Industrial Engineering
major will be housed in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, which oversees
programs in physics, pre-engineering and engineering technology. The successful
applicant will serve as coordinator of the program and will be responsible for
implementing the Industrial Engineering major, leading searches for additional
faculty, and cooperating with local business and industry on internships and

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Industrial
Engineering, teaching experience in an engineering program, and administrative
ability.
Start Date: August
2013
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will serve as coordinator of the program,
teach 9 hours of lectures and labs, and will be responsible for the
implementation of the Industrial Engineering major.
Professional Development: Francis Marion provides generous support
for conference travel
when
presenting. Research stipends are
available on a competitive basis.
