Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeks applications and nominations for Dean of the Faculty, to join us in continuing our mission of making Rose-Hulman a great place to live, learn, and work.
Our next Dean will join an experienced team of senior management and work collaboratively with committed faculty and staff to help forge a dynamic and innovative academic agenda. The Dean reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and is responsible for overseeing the faculty, staff, programs, and budgets of the eleven academic departments. The Dean is also responsible for the learning center, registrar, and military sciences.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is a private, coeducational, primarily undergraduate college of engineering, science, and mathematics located in Terre Haute, Indiana. For the past thirteen years, Rose-Hulman has been ranked as number one in the country by U.S. News & World Report among those engineering colleges that do not offer the PhD.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate and a distinguished record of teaching, professional development, and service qualifying for appointment as a full professor in one of the academic disciplines of the Institute. The successful applicant's record will also demonstrate or be commensurate with a history of increasingly responsible administrative experiences within a college or university environment; demonstrated managerial ability including experience in curriculum development and budget management; and a demonstrated capacity to assume the academic leadership of an institution committed to delivering the world's best undergraduate engineering, science and mathematics education.
