Texas A&M University – Faculty Position in Structural Engineering: The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering (www.civil.tamu.edu) at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position in the area of structural engineering. The department seeks the best individual to fill this position and it is open to applicants at the academic ranks of Assistant and Associate Professor.

This search seeks to complement the current expertise of our civil engineering faculty or strengthen existing focus areas. The successful candidate is expected to bring expertise in structural engineering with a focus on the response and behavior of structures under dynamic loading effects, potentially in one or more of the following areas: (1) structural dynamics and control; (2) wind engineering; or (3) earthquake engineering.

Applicants are required to have an earned doctorate in civil engineering or a closely related field. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As well as teaching, faculty members are expected to develop and maintain an externally funded research program and to publish in leading scholarly journals.
