The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering (ECEE) at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks outstanding candidates for up to three tenure-track faculty positions beginning August 2016. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials may be considered at any rank.

Hiring priority areas in ECEE include computer systems, next-generation networks, data analysis for complex systems, applied electromagnetics, RF/microwave engineering, power systems and electronics, integrated circuits, controls, nano-materials and systems, optics/photonics, and imaging. Exceptionally qualified candidates in other areas of electrical, computer, and energy engineering will be considered. Candidates involved in research bridging disciplines are highly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have a Ph.D.in electrical engineering or related disciplines; they must have the ability to develop an independent research program, enthusiasm to work with other faculty in the department and dedication to teaching at all levels.

The department includes 2 University Distinguished Professors, 14 FullProfessors, 13 Associate Professors, and 9 Assistant Professors. Faculty honors include 14 IEEE Fellows, 2 members of the US National Academy of Engineering, a Packard Fellow, a NSF Presidential Faculty Fellow and 10 NSF CAREER Award recipients. The ECEE program consists of about 350 undergraduate and 300 graduate students, and has averaged over $12.5 million in annual research grants. The department maintains close ties with local industry and national institutes/labs such as NIST, NREL, and NOAA.
