Department of Systems Engineering & Engineering Management (SEEM)
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte

We are currently seeking candidates for two tenure-track positions (#004371, #004372) at the assistant/associate professor levels in the area of operations research and data analytics. The ideal candidate will
  1. have a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field;
  2. actively seek external research funding and develop a strong research program;
  3. demonstrate potential in publishing in highly regarded journals;
  4. have a strong commitment to teaching excellence;
  5. actively contribute to the further development and growth of the SEEM Department; and
  6. have the ability and interest to work closely with local industries.
UNC Charlotte is located in one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolitan areas on an expanding modern campus. Our campus is located in the piedmont of North Carolina, just two hours from the mountains and three hours from the Atlantic Ocean. UNC Charlotte is part of one of the oldest public university systems in the United States, offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over 27,000 culturally diverse students. Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina and has been ranked as one of the best business locations in the U.S., being the second largest financial center in the U.S. with a historically strong energy, manufacturing, health care and logistics/distribution industries.

The College offers a BS in Systems Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management that was recently ranked as one of top online graduate engineering programs in the country. In addition the faculty members in the department participate in doctoral education through an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Infrastructure and Environmental Systems (INES). The Department has approximately 150 undergraduate and 90 graduate students.
