The Department of Industrial and
Systems Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for two
full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty positions (#00008183 & 00008817)
beginning August 2015. Outstanding applicants at assistant, associate and
professor levels will be considered. We welcome applications from
individuals with strong backgrounds that hold a doctorate in any ISE-relevant
discipline, including industrial engineering, operations research, or a closely
related field. It is desirable that the applicant would have at least one
degree in engineering.
Faculty members are expected to
contribute to research and educational programs at all levels, including
directing an interdisciplinary research program, supervising graduate students,
and teaching courses. Research areas of particular emphasis for these
positions include interdisciplinary work in Healthcare Systems, Stochastic
Processes, Big Data/Analytics, Statistical Analysis and Applications, and Resilient
