NOTES:
The William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering, in partnership with the OSU Comprehensive Cancer
Center, seeks highly qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering
or an allied field, a record of outstanding research accomplishments, and a
strong commitment to teaching excellence for a tenure-track, Assistant
Professor in biomolecular transport phenomena in intercellular interactions,
including cancer therapeutic modalities, cellular systems analysis and
metabolic modeling. This is one of four faculty positions that The Ohio State
University College of Engineering plans to fill over the next several years
across multiple engineering disciplines with the goal of creating a synergistic
group of engineering faculty to develop cancer therapeutics based on novel
approaches to targeted detection, imaging, and drug delivery. Faculty members
within this cluster are expected to collaborate closely with each other, as
well as with medical researchers in the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center. To
facilitate these interactions, courtesy appointments in The Ohio State
University Wexner Medical Center are available and desired.
