The Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level. Exceptional candidates will also be considered for higher ranks. We seek outstanding individuals working in traditional and/or emerging areas of industrial engineering. The department is especially interested in the areas of advanced manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems, simulation, and stochastic processes. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, establish and lead an innovative research program, supervise graduate students, pursue external funding opportunities, and provide service to the University.

Established as the first industrial engineering department in the world, the Marcus department is consistently highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report for both its graduate and undergraduate programs. The start date for these positions is Fall 2016. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related field, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interested applicants should submit:
