NOTES:

The College of Engineering at Boise State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the field of Engineering Education. The position involves shared responsibilities between the Boise State STEM teacher preparation program (IDo Teach) and the College of Engineering.

Along with a demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to STEM educational research, you should have at minimum:

• A degree in engineering or computer science (BS, MS or PhD);
• PhD in engineering, math, science, education or computer science discipline; and,
• Experience with K-12 teaching and/or administrative duties.

The candidate will be expected to (1) deliver coursework integral to IDo Teach, including the research methods course and a nature/history of science and mathematics course, (2) recruit and advise secondary STEM education students, (3) work with local schools, teachers, students, administrators, and other key K-12 education stakeholders, (4) teach a discipline specific course or introductory engineering science course, (5) develop and maintain a research program focused on engineering education, and (6) seek funding to support research and developments in STEM education.
