Structural Engineering Faculty Position at Louisiana Tech

Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering. Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and demonstrate high-quality teaching and research potential. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of advanced structural analysis and concrete/steel design of structural systems, develop an effective program of externally funded research, advise M.S. and Ph.D. students, and engage in university, professional and program service activities. There are opportunities for collaborative research with current Civil and Mechanical Engineering faculty members, many of whom are doing active research in Trenchless Technology. Louisiana Tech’s structural testing facilities include an array of screw-driven and servo-hydraulic testing systems as well as a strong floor facility equipped with three 500 kip actuators. Outstanding candidates at the assistant, associate and full professor level will be considered.
