Position:
Towson University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in the Department of Biological Sciences starting fall 2014, pending approval of funding. Teaching load is anticipated to include a general microbiology course for majors, an upper-level undergraduate course in either pathogenic or environmental microbiology, and participation in graduate-level courses in the candidate’s area of specialization.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant is expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, to develop a productive research program involving both graduate and undergraduate students, and to pursue external funding to support his/her research program. Ph.D. is required, postdoctoral experience preferred.
